I have an important hockey game tomorrow against my teams rivals and my friend told me that if you skate across the blue line backwards, then flick the puck onto your stick and while in the face off circle flick the puck in the air and bat it like in baseball and you score, our team gets 5 goals! That could win us the game! I am skilled so my question is, is this a rule? If it is, should I try it? Do you think my coach would like to see me attempt it?

yes that is a rule. its new, and hasnt been introduced into the nhl so not many of these guys know about it. they might introduce it into the nhl next year, but unlike minor hockey, it will only be worth three goals, not five. if you do this you will be a hero. make sure you talk to the ref about it to make sure he does not make the mistake.
also, in most leagues, if you fight the goalie during that period before you score, it will be worth SIX POINTS! i did this last game and got a DOUBLE hat trick.
