Stick (shaft and blade) help?
I'm a goalie and I don't know much about forwards' equipment. I got a composite stick (without the blade) at a garage sale the other day but I have no idea whether the shaft has been cut off or it's a two-piece stick. Is there a way I can find out?
Also I was thinking about adding a blade but I was wondering if I could get a different brand (ex: Easton or Reebok) to put on the CCM stick?
Do I use screws, a particular glue or special tape after putting the blade into the shaft?
Which type of blade should I go for? Plastic, wood, abs, or composite? I would like to use it for street, floor/cosom and ice hockey preferably. So which one would you recommend?
So like I've said I'm not a forward but I do play offense recreationnally with friends sometimes. Even if I do not play as a skater often I would like to have a decent stick to shoot or puck-handle around if I feel like it.

1) Take and Send me pics and I can better answer that.
2) If both shaft + blade are either "standard fit" or "tapered" it works. The reason companies want you to have both be their product is just that - to sell their product.
3) Screws would be if it's an all plastic blade like from Dollarama which you put onto a broken wood stick. I strongly discourage even attempting this on a composite.
4) Plastic won't scuff up gym floors or asphalt, but isn't a good performance and will not work on the ice. Wood could work on all those surfaces, but delaminates + breaks quickly on concrete. ABS works on all, but you'd lose performance on the ice, could bend backwards due to a heavier puck. Composite is a waste of money unless you play competitvely and/or at a high level. I don't know of any "tapered" ABS blades in case the shaft is such.
