OK.... I got a competition in 2 months or so and it is my first competition ever!!!!!
I am going to be away for 1 month (HOLIDAY) so I wont have much practice left....
My question is what happens at an ice skating competition...(especially first time)
Please can you explain what happens step by step

It really depends on what kind of competition you entered.
If you entered a freestyle or free program competition then yes, generally you need to have music set to the length required for your test level. You'd need to do a program and incorporate any required elements (jumps, spins, etc) into it. A nice competition dress is also likely required.
If it's a moves competition, spins, jumps, etc, then you may not be required to have music but you probably still need to have a set program.
Then there are artistic program competitions...which also require music but there are different rules.
Check your entry form and see what you entered. Then ask your coach for help.
The being off the ice for a month thing isn't ideal, but just make sure you devote lots of time to practice and program run-throughs when you return.
