What should I pack for my ski trip?
I'm going to Colorado in a few months and I have no idea what to bring. I've already got the outfit that I'll wear while skiing planned out, I just have to actually go out and buy it now. It includes:
♥ goggles
♥ a long sleeved shirt to wear underneath
♥ a jacket
♥ a sweater if it's really cold
♥ ski pants, maybe long johns if it's cold
♥ gloves and neck warmer
♥ and then I'll rent out skis and boots
I'm not sure what to pack for the rest of the time. I'm thinking of buying a few pairs of those juicy tracksuits for after skiing when we're just lounging around. There's also going to be a few days where we just walk around the village, go out to restuarants, etc- places where I want to look a little nicer. What should I buy for those days? I'm thinking of wearing stuff like jeans and scarves, but I don't know what else. Other than all the stuff I've already mentioned, is there anything I forgot? I'm really afraid of packing all the wrong stuff.
When I go skiing always I wear long johns and long sleeved tops under hoodies, or just t-shirts if its really hot.
After skiing just clothes you would normally wear on cold-ish nights are warm enough, under your ski jacket if you're going out, unless you have enough space to pack a different coat.
In most places I've found that soles on shoes are important, as it can get slippy (so a deep tread, nothing too smooth)
All in all, most people there will be in the same situation as you, because they will want to stay warm too even if they are going out, so no one is going to be dressed in really smart skimpy clothes.
Also I noticed you didn't write hat? If you weren't planning on taking one, I would, because going down the slopes makes your ears really cold!
