Hello, this is kind of silly but I bought new skis and boots (haven't used them yet, but plan on it tomorrow) and I got these, http://store02.prostores.com/servlet/wintersales/the-114/NEW-Dynastar-Starlett-skis/Detail The man at the ski store told me because I am short (5'1, 120 pounds) that I could wear a youth ski? Does this sound weird? Was he just trying to sell me them? I'm worried that because they are called youth skis they are not suited for adults? I am an intermediate skiier, have been skiing since I was 5, I am now 23. My boots are adults?
Any ideas?

Not weird at all. The youth skis will be softer to absorb bumps and actually be a more forgiving ski for your overall weight. Unless you're an expert skier, these will be just fine for you. Don't worry about the labeling, it's about what will work best for you and your skill level. I've skied for over 35 yrs and now I board. However, I'll still strap-on the skis too. I ski and board "Diamonds", but enjoy the "Blue" runs these days with my friends and family.
