okay, so im going on the ski trip with my school and im going to try snowboarding for the first time, i have my snow pants and coat hat gloves, etc. i don't have boots, will they give me boots cause you need a special kind for skiing is it the same for snow boarding, or do i need my own boots? people tell me i should also have goggles, could i just use sun glasses instead? anything else that i will need?
You'll need snow pants, gloves, and jacket that are all waterproof. Something to wear on your head is also a good idea, either a winter hat or a boarding/skiing helmet. You'll also want layers that you can wear under your pants and jacket that you can take off or put on depending on the weather (long johns are a good idea as well as a light sweater).
Boarding boots, board, and bindings will all come with a rental deal so you won't need to supply your own if your already planning on renting a board. You will want eye protection. Goggles are the best because they will stop the snow and wind from getting to your eye's (the glare coming of the snow from under you can also hurt your eyes). Sunglasses are another option but they may not cover everything, wind can get around them and dry out your eyes, and they can break if you fall.
