Saw a pair at my local rink which fit me just right, and have about 3cm (a little over an inch) of blade left. They are on conseignment so the shop owner is hesitant to let me try them out on the ice. Bottom line I need feedback on these skates. I know it doesn't have the composite design that top-end skates have these days, but how does it compare to my ancient CCM 650's? (Super Tacks if you prefer)
I never skated with them, but my rule of thumb was if they fit like a glove when you are walking around the shop floor, they they will probably do you well on the ice. You will need to make usual adjustments, but they should do you well.
Don't make that purchase in haste, though. A lot of decision with a purchase like that is made through the novelty of the item. Hockey equipment is loaded with extra little perks that boost your want to own it.
